since no one else posts this shizz...

Went riding again today. Made a little vid and got some more pics. I'll post in in a sec.

It's really hard to get a view to show how steep this **** really is, so some of the still pictures should say enuf. Was doin laps down the ridge all day today. Fun as ****. Going to do some big droppers in the next few weeks.

and finally, a cool lil vid of it.

Awesome pictures Echihn. Looks like you went solo? I wouldn't have the guts to go out mountain riding alone. Barely hit local trails without someone.

Yea it was solo. I went back again today with my buddy. It was his first time back on a dh bike in years. He hucked at least a 10 foot drop out of the ridge today. Pretty gnar. I ended up slamming myself pretty hard up top on the ridge. Even wearing knee and shin pads my knee got pretty banged up.

To top it off, when we were railin the road going down the mountain my buddy overshot a turn and went over the metal railing on the road doin at least 45. Tore his ankle up pretty good. Think he sprained it. I almost clipped the railing the turn prior to him. pretty crazy stuff on even a dh bike. Your going 55-60 down a 2 lane mountain road. I ran out of gear pretty quick

A little FR section I've found near by my shop. 3-4' drops with off camber gravel run-ins and rock garden landings and run-outs. I like to send it big and gnarly without 'cleaning' a section before hand...just eyeball it and go. Thankfully deer are pretty extreme freerunners around here and I can usually find the gnarliest stuff just by following the trails they maintain for me.

I've looked before and never found any decent long trails out Canyon Lake before. Do you know any large open riding areas?

Chcio Ca, Bloody Shin. Try it but believe the name. Lava rocks from the time you get out of your car to the time you get back in it.

this is my normal weekend riding spot. Pretty much the hardest downhill around in the greater bay area. It will be as gnar as you want it to be. INSANE lines.

I'm actually recovering from a severe slide out just over a week and a half ago. Went into a corner just pinning it and slid out. Didn't have my armor on, but I did have my elbows and dh shins on + full face. I ended up laying it down on my back doing about 50 over this.

Tore my entire side, arm and back up with bad road rash and cuts. This weekend I'll be back on my bike at the place in the post right above this Took a week and a bit off, it's time to get back into the training phase pain or not.

I can only dream of a bike escapade in areas like that in the photos... :/ I ride every day and build my condition before long weekend at the beginning of May... and then go on a few days trip in Poland
