The first cyclist in Iowa has been killed at the hands of a motorist this year. Frankly I am surprised Iowa cyclists got this far into the year before a collision resulting in a death occured.

Even assuming the sun WAS in the driver's eyes -- WTF was she thinking?!? If you can't see, YOU DON'T KEEP GOING LIKE YOU CAN!

I don't see how it could have been "avoidable". They were both using public access roads. They both had the right to be there. I don't believe the issue with the sun. On both sides. I can't drive at dusk because I can't see anything, but then I keep off the road now don't I. Terrible situation. Any new news on this SUX?
