From time sidewalk riders become a topic here. I often defend point out that a sidewalk rider can be a safe rider, or at least safer than the same rider on the street. The parent with their 3 year old each on seperate bikes for example.

But there is another kind of rider that deserves a nice name. The rider who freely moves back and forth between the sidewalk and street, who in fact does come from nowhere. The one who was on the sidewalk until a split second before he is in front of a car.

Most of us know what Salmon are, I want to propose a similar name for those riders who are neither street not sidewalk riders. I'm just not sure wjhich is better, Forgs or Amphibians?

We had this same conversation at another site. One person suggested "frogger." How about organ donor?

As sooner or later that's what they'll become.
