Gloves?

Can anybody recommend me a good pair of riding gloves? Something that can keep my hands warm when its cold out but breath during the summer.

i usually have two pairs of mechanics gloves, one i work on stuff with, the other just sits around till my other ones wear out. i usually take these riding. the do exactly what you want them to do. they aren't the "real" mechanics gloves, they are just the "handyman" gloves i picked up at home depot for $13. they aren't biking gloves, but they keep your hands warm, you don't get blisters from the bars, and they are dirt cheap. i don't sweat in them either. buddies of mine have riding gloves, but not sure what exactly they are, ones fox though, thats all i know.

Fox makes some really good ones but they aren't cheap. They do last a long time though. I have a separate pair for summer and winter though

I have come to realize that usually when you buy something at a premium price you get a very good lifespan out of it.

I bought leather fingerless gloves at the 99 cent store when I was a kid. I took a really nasty bail onto some concrete that would have ripped the skin on my palms off...... but instead it virtually ground the leather into powder in that spot (left a big hole) and barely knicked my flesh...

I was searching for gloves and this is what I found. I've been riding gloveless and I think it's making my hands cramp up and blister. (hard to tell working with fire as I do). Any one have any glove suggestions. I would like to spend around $30.

Go to your LBS and try some on. It's not likely that your shop will carry whatever someone online recommends. On top of that, sizing is so different. I have some large gloves that fit ok, and some SXL that are a bit snug.

I tried that and none of them fit. They told me to check online. I couldn't really get a feel for them so I am having to use others opinions. My hands are huge. It's gift, curse, and an excellent conversation starter. "Good to meet you, did you see my huge hands?"

Then just get some really big gloves on eBay.
