I agree...this was a great illustration but unfortunately in my area, cars believe we should be riding all the way on the right. If I take most of the lane, I would get honked at a lot. And to me, there is nothing more stressing then getting an ear full of horn when I am not expecting it.

Makes me appreciate were I live and ride even more. No shouting, profanity, thrown bottles or other projectiles and relatively low traffic. Maybe a few impatient fools that stay closer than I care but easy to deal with.
