My wife works for the USDA and I can assure you there is a lot more to government agricultural subsidies than just artificially depressing the cost of a big mac.

Otherwise, no. They sell some kind of beetle pupae in a can at my local Asian food store but I haven't summoned up the courage to try it yet (I have no idea how you prepare them?)

I would be willing to try other insects if they were really delicious and not just eating them for the shock value.
Funny I was reading this thread and a program called Criminal Minds [fiction im sure] But they said red velvet cake was made with red beetles [and it was a repeat]

Well I am sure there is a great deal, but ask yourself one simple question. Why are tax dollars being used to prop up any business? Simple supply and demand will fix things far quicker and more effectively than any subsidy or mandate.

Not eating meat has health risks, just as eating too much of anything does as well. Moderation is the operative word. But if anything taste like grits in can't be all bad. Anyone else ever had fried grits??? That recipe is easy.

Millet never crossed my mind of being something good to eat, interesting. Didn't really like seeing the info about the red in red velevet cake though simply because I love it!
