I bought some egg beaters last week. They aren't too bad. I'll get some more apples. I drink lots of water. I just need to drink more.

Promax eh? Never heard of that.

These?

Those are the bars. I've tried a lot of bars, and still get new ones to review pretty regularly, but it's hard to beat those (for a buck at my local Winco - that's 50 cents per serving), and for those averse to links, check the specs:
  • No artificial sweeteners, preservatives, high fructose corn syrup, maltitol or gelatin
  • 20g protein
  • 0g trans fat
  • 18 vitamins and minerals
  • Gluten free
  • Vegetarian
  • Kosher

I got 2 -3 boxes of cliff bars at home from Christmas and a 10 for 10 at Dillon's ( Kroger) I picked up Sat. I'll probably go through them first.

Trail mix, nuts (mostly almonds And pistachios), granola, fruit fresh or dried. I limit my meal content and size then fight the hunger via healthy snacks. Basically a handful of this or that to curb hunger.

Lots of water.

I also enjoy cliff bars.

Nuts and fruit (dried or not) is always good, but I need to keep closer track of my intake than they usually allow. I'm that guy that chooses his apples by condition and size, so I can keep my calories reasonably consistent. Before you mock me, it's a system that works.

FYI Clif has some new bars coming out. Has anyone actually seen their entire line - blocks, bars, gels, etc? Their trade show booth is probably 15-20 feet to a side, and even I couldn't graze my way all the way around it in one day. They have a product and flavor for everyone.

I have the Cliff Mojo and Cliff Bars. I haven't seen everything they have though.

Also what do you guys use for protein shakes, and do you eat them before or after cycling.

I like real food. Chicken, eggs, and fish for protein. Red meat once a week, maybe.

I also watch my starches and carbs. Basically I limit my bread intake and cut sweets. I keep carb intake to oatmeal, rice, granola, and wheat bread.
