Thank You Integrate, Im glad you understood the gist of the long winded post, LOL.
I will say this, because of your advice I have not done machine based strength training for probably over a month now except for my leg nights where I do use the machines. Everything else I do with regards to chest, shoulder, arms, etc. are cable machine based. I like the challenge of it a bit more and Im able to do those in a more circuit fashion which I like.
I will say this; The treadmill does alter my stride. I have run on the treadmill, obviously, and outdoors and I notice my stride seems way different, shorter perhaps, maybe more than it is when I run outdoors.
Its like the uncertainty of the 'give' of the treadmill causes the shorter strides like you would take walking on ice or in snow to try and keep your balance should you loose footing.
I love the row machine, I would hate to give it up, but I don't know, in fact I doubt, I am doing it perfectly or anything close to it. But I love the cardio aspect of it and the fact it works my upper body and my legs some as well.
I love K.I.S.S. and agree with you on that. I guess I just need to work towards it more.
Is it possible for you to point me to any only line information that would show me how to do some strength and cardio workouts? I have a notebook that I put together that has all my cable machine workouts in it and has information about each one and a picture of the starting and ending position in the exercise and I refer to it constantly to make sure I am doing it as right as possible.
Is there anything like that online for anything you would suggest doing or do I need to order a certain book?
