chainsaw type carb and reeds on a china

Has anybody here done these mods and how was it?
I think the inlet manifold has the dog legs in it but if you use reeds you could do away with the dog leg

Not a chainsaw carb but it looks easy to bolt to that reed enclosure

it would be easy to get a o-ring machined into the carb flange as the original crab a rigid mounted and the manifold are liable to crack.
ATM all I could afford is the O-ring
