I was afraid of that. I literally googled: cost per mile for jeep compass and clicked on the 4th link, titled: Total Cost to Own - 2010 Jeep Compass Sport 4X4 - Yahoo! Autos

Here it he Google page link:
Click to View Search Results for cost per mile for jeep compass - Google Search cost per mile for jeep compass - Google Search

Are you implying that even sitting unused, when we are not driving it my Jeep puts out emissions?

My Jeep is a 2007. So before IH says the figure still does not apply let me point out they still use the same engine in the 2010 that I have in mine and I did literally try to google:cost per mile for 2007 jeep compass and came up with no links that would provide what I am looking for to give a cost per mile. SO THIS IS GOING TO HAVE TO BE GOOD ENOUGH!!!

I hate uploading yahoo links they never work. I just don't see any number procured as "saving money". You still spent money on something your not using. If all things are considered shouldn't that be as well. Did you spend less than normal if you had operated it? Sure, but then in the same mind it could be said you wasted money buying a vehicle your choosing not to use. I love Jeeps I own and drive one but if I was worried about emissions I wouldn't be in one.

Nope, just that my Harley or Scion puts out zero when not in use. What year is your Jeep?

Go to www.fueleconomy.gov and you can compare them side by side. Mine is a 2006, automatic.

The problem with this is it is only for fuel mileage only. I am more interested in more than just cost and useage of fuel when figuring the cost per mile.

You don't really need a website for that. The place you take it for maintenance will tell you the actual cost of whatever service it requires. Same with your local tire shop. And you should already know your insurance and registration costs. With that in hand, you're ready to calculate an approximate annual cost, then you can tinker with cost per mile figures. Keep in mind that the lower your annual mileage, the higher the cost per mile will probably be when compared to higher annual mileage.
