I'm afraid you are talking crap! Put the same engine on a recumbent as D/F, let him train his muscles for that position for say 1000 miles and he will be much faster on the bent. End of story!

By the way you are very eloquent for such a young chap who has to watch ovens in a cottage industry - you actually sound like my dad, and he's 73!

I'm English too. We invented the language and you're easily impressed. What do think I do all night long while babysitting the ovens? I read. Never had a computer growing up. So I read. It's an old skill, but a useful one none the less.

As to the rest of the Bent vs. Upright foolishness? We've all moved on. It's comedy hour now. Nobody cares about your bike. Sorry.

Hey John, you should post your other rigs on here as well. By the way Ian, I'm the bloke who passed John uphill like he was standing still...... and yep John is a carbon master artist. I rode his carbon mtb and it rides like a dream...... Best handling mountain bike I think I've ever been on and I've been used to riding lightweight full suspension rigs.

lowracer: Artists are sensitive non-combatant types. It probably did not occur to him to effort a retort. For this you can not blame or judge him. If I had been on his carbon mountain bike with slicks and a 52 tooth front sprocket you would have gained footage unsuitable to your argument for I am an insensitive burner of iron frames and feelings.

What a nice bike though. lowracer I can't get that beast out of my mind. The MTB, not the other thing.

I wish that were true. funetical, I'm a little better looking than a mud fence. If I had a face like George Clooney I wouldn't be fussing with bicycles, that's for sure.

The actor, the actor! You're thinking of George Foreman the heavyweight and seller of all things useless on the tube. I look more like a vanilla version of Foreman after a bad go with Ali. (Dad's a fight fan and has a ton of tapes)

Find a picture of an English boxer named Cooper. He lost to Ali in the 60s. That's me. Lumps and all.

Oh dear, i noticed that you stop spouting about DF's when faced with the truth. Comedy hour started when you raised the subject, and will only end when other people decide, not you i'm afraid.

Ah read and write, and cook, you will make some bloke a lovely wife, especially as you are not popular with the ladies. You should give the hectic lifestyle you lead a rest, put the cookery books down and get out a bit, and i don't mean with shaved legged "ladies" you normally hang around with.

And please don't apologise dear boy, what are to know how interested people are with my possesions. Have a good christmas, I hope Santa is good to you, brings you female love and a dose of realism, tata !!

homofobiac

What i realy don't like are homofobiac statements like yours.
Check out Freud and his friends for what they think about repressing things and how that is shown.
Besids that, it's the lowest level of remark added to the pocorn fun we had. It is in now way funny, it's just stuppid yelling, it doesn't show any brain or intelligence. I quess you are 11 years old and just found out that you get hair on other places then......... and it is ichy.

The next time look for statements like:
if it takes someone more then 3 day's to cross 30 miles on a straight tunnel, he should not make remarks about being fast.
That is mean but funny.

With excuses for my Dinglish,

Niels

ps today i did see digital pictures of my new designed recumbent. They ar drawn in gold and so .... prommissing. It gave me a big smile.
