Yep it is official, you have gone crazy. It does look like you are having fun there.

So other than flying, do the aero bars help you to balance the uni. If I got a 36" uni and put aero bars on it could I ride it immediately and look good doing it or will I still hurt myself much worse than I want to?

They don't really help with balance but they do give me a sense of more stability. I definitely prefer riding my 36er with aerobars, especially for longer rides. Lately I've been averaging 20-30 miles per ride, so it's nice to have them to rest on, and once you've ridden with them, it's hard to imagine riding without them.

You just have to find the one's that are right for you, as there are many different types with various types of bars and angles. The configuration I have seems to work best for me.
