Geo is a bigger difference. You may not end up liking a bike with tighter "track" geometry. Then again, perhaps you will.

Oh, I'm so confused!

I scored some Campy brakes for something like $15, put them on my Wabi, and put the stock Wabi brakes on my Hour, with some TT levers and bullhorns that I scored dirt cheap on ebay as well.

This was around $300 and loose change:

OK - so the Hour has the more "track style" geometry to it? What exactly is "track" geometry?

No, the Hour is more relaxed. Besides the obvious toe overlap concerns when turning, track geometry is more twitchy. Responsive steering is nice, but you may find the Clockwork to be overkill for the road.

I'm afraid the "toe overlap" isn't so obvious to me

Can I ask how you can tell that it has that particular geometry? Is it something you can read from the specs, or something you have to pick out of reviews?

And you're correct, hair-trigger track bike steering would probably be more harmful to me than anything else. Don't want to sneeze into a semi truck or something.

Ohh I think I understand. Why would you design a bike like that in the first place? Seems rather silly to me but I'm not much of a racing cyclist.

Thanks for answering the questions, I feel silly asking some of them

It's an advantage on the track, but not on the street.

There are no stupid questions. Just stupid people.

[edit] that's not directed at anyone on here

I'll keep an eye on the hour. Hopefully the price doesn't jump too much, I still gotta come up with the cash to buy it. Time to craigslist the garage again!

Good idea. My wife and I made nearly $2000 when we did that last year.
