You like your top tube horizontal on road bikes strictly for aesthetic purposes?

Not exactly. Does it have some special geometry that requires them to make the frame look disproportional? Because it looks less like a flat bar road bike with bullhorns than a MTB frame with skinny tires and bullhorns.

Aesthetically I like it as a road bike. It's something different. I'm looking into the geometry and will post about it from a technical standpoint.

I really like the bicycle. I got it on Monday, built it out and have put about 25 miles on it so far, very nice commuter. I'll write a big review article on it after I put more miles on it.

Excellent! That looks like a larger frame than the one in the photo. I'll be doing a thread about my Wabi shortly, and it looks like we'll have a bike from Bikesdirect as well, just not sure which one.

Mine is a L frame. Also I ride with my saddle lower than most.

There are a couple things left off (pedal clips, chain guard and front fender)

Was eager to hit the road with it.

I like the fixed gear, but it's really more relaxing to be able to coast once in a while.

It's nice having the flip flop. For solo riding, I'll go fixed, but a leisurely ride with my girl, freewheel all the way.
