Fixed gear to IGH conversion...

This bike began life as a $350 fixed gear tarck bike from BikesDirect. I started tweaking it and now its pretty awesome.

SRAM S-7 Internal Gear Hub replaced the stock flip-flop hub.

Custom welded shifter mount.

Custom underseat beer opener and carbon fiber seatpost.

Sweet bike, Hophead will probably post up after he gets done with the underseat beer opener mod on all of his bikes.

You have to go up in order to come down. Why is the up part always so steep?

Nice setup! So it's not fixed in the rear anymore or you just have front brakes?

Correct, it's no longer fixed but it has a coaster brake in the rear now so the front brake is from the handlebars, the rear brake is activated by back pressure on the pedals. The second brake lever on the handlebars does nothing and is just there so I can ride on the hoods.
