can a fixie/ss axle be switched out with a hollow axle for a quick release

Mine already has hollow axles, but they're nutted. I've seen them on front wheels, but never back. It wouldn't hold up well.

i might have to see if they make an adapter for my trainer then or get a roller trainer or like you said hollow axle and nutted then maybe a skewr for the trainer might work
