I got this Craigslist find today. 09 Marin kentfield cs. Just needs 2 new tires. Paid $50. Not real high end, but there is still value right?

I will 4 sure use it. As as soon as I get some new tires. Dry rotted to death. Don't know how that happens in just a few years.

I mean, you can't even buy a Wal-Mart RoadMaster Sudo-MTB for $50 bucks so I say you did well, might want to spend the extra $50 and have a good LBS do a "tune-up" on it to make sure componets are working and don't need "regreased". JMHO, ENJOY!

Marin's a great brand, great bike, just not much market share. Company just got bought by some private equity money, maybe new owners will invest in the brand.

Actually this type cycle are best for a cyclist. There are many people might preferred this model.

Cut manufacturing cost and put money into marketing. Sell cheaply built bikes with fancy paint jobs.
