I just recently purchased a Trek 7100 and i'm finding the shifting of the front derailuer (sp?) to be very difficult. It won't shift in certain gears i.e. if I'm in 2 & 6 I can't shift down to 1 & 6. Can anyone even attempt ot diagnose the issue?

Is your resistance at the lever, maybe with the cable, or is it with the actual chainline?
