Like I said earlier, I look long and hard at the Giants. I test road a Rapid 2.0 and a 3.0. I was seriously looking at the Rapid 1.0 but no one around me had one for me to test. I live in the hills in the southern Teir in New York so the compact crank gearing was kind of a concern considering that I am fairly new at bicycling. Without being able to see one I refused to order one. Being new at cycling I also did not like the idea of having 25c Tires (mine trek has 28c with the ability to go up to 32c tires or larger). With the compact frame that giant uses the largest you can go to is 28c. I did get my bike the other day and I installed my Cat Eye V2C cyclometer the other day. Unfortunately I haven't riden it a lot yet because I rolled my ankle bad over the weekend and there are all sorts of pretty colors on my foot and ankle right now but the little bit I did ride it was amazing!! Shifts like a dream and it is a comfortable geometry for me so all in all I am Very Happy with it! Personally it is one of the coolest looking bikes I have ever seen in Carrera Blue.
