LOL, well it was suppose to be a simple, "install a set of full fenders", ever since I put the "trekking bars" on the Allegro 1, I just felt that it needed full fenders to finish the look.
What I found is that my 2011 Jamis Allegro 1 came with the, the "shorter arm V-brake" (Tektro RX-1), the rear fender had just enough clearance for the "v-brake wire over the top of the fender to work ok. The front wasn't going to work

. So what should have been a 20 minute job, turned into 2+hours as I decided to take the, "standard arm" V-brakes off my 2012 Coda Sport and put them on the Allegro 1. LOL, I've NEVER done this with V-brakes, single/double pull and cantilevers, YES but not V-brakes. So I just took my time and looked at everything as I was "pulling one set off", just did a reverse and it worked.
Man it's been a long time since I've set pad height and set toe in so as soon as the "ice" melts off the streets I'll be taking it to the LBS, just to make sure I got it right. Every thing seems to function ok so wish me luck
