I'm not a wheel-builder, but unless I'm quite mistaken, doing this would be much more than pulling one spoke and replacing it with another, one after the next, until you're done. You're talking about actually building a new wheel.
If you haven't done it before, research it before trying to do it yourself - wheel building is a specialized task that you can certainly learn, but don't want to try without some type of training or study.
I really love the idea of colored spokes. Lots of possibilities there. Any pics of your bike? Please keep us updated!
