The SL looks even better with its Ultegra crank and brakes along with better wheels.

absolutely. I was just trying to show you bikes in the $1-1.5k range.

I purchased my Motobecane Fantom 29 mtb from bikesdirect back in October, and have been very happy with it.

Their steel choices have been slim and often out of stock. That SL Ti is looking real sweet.

Well I broke down and bought a bike today...

I went with the Team Raleigh carbon frame w/Ultegra gear. It fell within my price and is a very sweet ride.

I left it at the shop so they could adjust a couple of things and will pick it up tomorrow. I picked up a pair of shoes and will have it fitted tomorrow if all goes well.
