Since none of us have a constant inseam to torso ratio, you'll have to try both. I'll always err on the shorter side, as I don't stretch out as well as I used to.

if you go with the defy the sizes are bellow...

size toptube length... Stand over in IN
L/55.5 57.50 32
XL/58.5 59.50 32.8
looks like the XL would fit anyone over 6' to me. if the top tube feels too long shorter stems are an easier fix than raising the saddle if the seattube is too short.(when you get the saddle way high you will have to be super bent over) i would go with the one that is best standover wise. you could probably ride either one... Hack, what do you think?

Rodger that... Need to ride them and see how they feel.

One thing I have noticed that struck me as strange, but I understand why they do it. A lot of bikes don't come with pedals...

Thank you both for your help..

let us know what you decide on and post photos...
i wish they sold bikes without saddles at a lesser price, i have a closet full of saddles that came on new bikes, and then got pulled off to be replaced by what i like. a few of them have never been sat on at all.

Since finally getting my first Brooks I'll never sit on anything else if I can help it.

Okay Garilia, step away from this comment. She's young.

Well if Sprocket Girl would take a picture of herself sitting on a seat, I'm sure if she included a certificate of authenticity with each seat and the photo, she could sell all of those unused seats.
