Brakes feel wrong.

Looking it up I have Avid BB7 brakes and where the back brake feels squishy the front feels tight. Is it supposed to be that way? I'm ok with the squishy backs, but it feels like the front one is going to cause problems. Could I just loosen the Front?

Hi, Farnsworth -

I have Tektros on my V3, and both are tight enough to drift the bike if I am moving and lock 'em up.

Sounds like you just need to have the brakes adjusted. My recommendation would be to either google how to do it, or drop by your LBS and have them checked.

If you go to the Park Tool Website site it has an excellent how to on adjusting bb7's. The site is also good for most other mechanical issues as well.

Avid discs are easy to set up and adjust. Shouldn't take much to make them right.
