I fixed the thread title, sorry about that. For some reason, I thought that the Defy 2 was a mountain bike. Anyway, that changes my advice just a bit. While you still need to keep your drivetrain clean, unless you're riding in a dust storm or rain, you probably will only need to wipe your chain down and clean/lube according to the lube manufacturer's guidelines. Road bikes are pretty low maintenance. A drop of quality oil at the pivot points of all moving parts and any exposed cable is all you should need between tune-ups. Wiping it down with a damp cloth after a ride won't hurt either.
