I like the looks and the price! I'm also far from one of those members able to look at pics like the ad and point out the potential problems where this pictured widget and that gadget aren't actually compatible.

It might be good to have your LBS do a safety check before you get into traffic with it, but that goes for any used bike. Good looking ride!

Also, there's not a darned thing wrong with more than 1 bike. Cruiser for cruising, something else for high-speed, off-road, long-distance, whatever you're after

Best of luck, and please let us know how you end up going!

So far can't catch the guy with the beach cruiser.Said he is very busy this weekend. But i did find a schwinn ranger fs2.6 at a yard sale they wanted 65 i offered 45 and they took it.I will post a pic as soon as i can. it looks like it was rarely used. The lady said her husband used it for about a month.Got a bonus at work and bought a cannondale something.I got on it and adjusted the seat and it was comfortable.I know its not top of the line. But for now its something.Anyone know anything about this bike?It will do for now until i get my income tax check.. Ive just got to learn how to shift gears properly..

I have a Schwinn Ranger bike that I use for trails, and it's a good bike. The biggest gripes I have with it are the v-brakes which need adjustments quite a bit and some of the other components. The frame has held up like a champ for over 4k miles. Have replaced a two chains (the second one got bent on the offroad trail), a rear derailleur (also got bent at the same time as the chain on a cypress knob), brake pads a few times, the rear freewheel last summer, rear rim, and currently the rear derailleur cable.

A good deal for $45. Take good care of it and it'll be a good bike.

I would say if the photo you posted is how you ride you nead a biger, taller frame. But it is a nice bike, and the 29 might be a better bike for comuting.

Once you find what you want their are plenty of sites or just google bike fitting and it will give you directions on seat adjustment handlebar heights ,etc
This is just a suggestion if you want to try a used or Walmart bike.Like previously posted if your budget allows going to local bike shop for an initial fit and purchase is the way to go if you will be committing yourself in the long run.
