My name should say it all.
looking for pedals and shoes. I have a Giant Talon (29er) I've been advised to get new pedals and shoes.. Being that I'm just getting into riding I need some advice..
I ride about 80% on the road and my mtb skills are beginner level.
I really want a dual platform pedal and a shoe to accomodate my riding.

the PD-A530 or PD-m20 are good candidates. Price and reviews .
Now do i get a mountain bike shoe or road shoe?
any other advice is greatly appreciated..Thanks

I would say that if you are getting MTB pedals, then get MTB shoes. With a MTB shoe you will be able to walk around a little less awkward looking in them.

Since those are MTB pedals, you're going to want either MTB shoes or touring shoes ... in either case, the shoe MUST accept SPD cleats if you go with those pedals.
