I used to wear suspenders that would cause nipple issues.

Hey...you are quite welcome. I was new once and appreciated all of the help I received from more experienced riders.....call it "paying it forward."

Cheers,

Bibs always, be it shorts or knickers or tights, I don't even consider anything else.

For the same reasons mentioned above, or do you have your own reasons why they're your favorite?

Under Armour makes spandex boxer-brief style performance underwear that wicks moisture and does NOT bunch up. These aren't quite like sliding or compression shorts, as they are meant as underwear not anything else. I wear them under my singlet when I wrestle and i have never had a problem with them riding up, bunching up, et cetera. They aren't incredibly cheap at $20 per pair, but they wear and last well.

When I first started cycling I didn't wear any bike shorts. It wasn't until I did a 75 mile ride that I said enough is enough and broke down and got a pair. Now, the modesty bit... I couldn't bring myself to look like I was wearing spandex and as you can see in my picture I am wearing mesh shorts over my bike shorts for my century ride. I don't know if I really care that much anymore but I haven't been home to ride my Felt in a little while.

And I went commando under the riding shorts.

I am using these right now training for a triathlon. They work well and are dry before I get off of the bike and start the run. They are really nice, I like them a lot, would replace all of my underwear with them but that would be expensive.

Since all modesty has flown out the window I would be remiss if I didn't bring another problem to the forefront of the discussion that plagues some of us guys. It's called spandex wiener chafe. And it's horrible. There, I said it.

Maybe I should post this on the 'I Wish I Was a Guy' thread!

I think Spandex Wiener would make a great name for a rock band.

That's what I call myself when I hit hills. "You can do this Spandex Wiener. You can do it.".
