  I use spds for all my riding xcountry,free ride and downhill I cannot imagine trying to ride hard and
  fast and not be clipped in ,it's a learning curve but once you get it you'll never go back.

  Well I am a bit like you, in that I wouldn't have a bike that if I needed to ride it in a regular shoe I
  couldn't. In my case I have a campus pedal. Its a platform on one side and an SPD on the other....

  How are Eggbeaters a copy of an SPD?Maybe the word should be imitation not copy the spd is the original
