  • Posted in thread: Yet another tragedy on 05/25/2012 at 1:39AM
This is terrible. Florida is terrible for bicycling related deaths. It seems like there is a fatality
story every month. Last year, the local cycling advocate group held a Friday night vigil ride in h...

Hello all, going to buy two slightly used Cannondales next week for my wife and me... guy is selling it
for a reasonable price. We're just going to use it for on road biking nothing fancy. Anybody got...

  • Posted in thread: What cameras do you carry or use on a bike?? on 04/05/2012 at 1:35AM
Well I have two different levels of cameras. First are the work cameras and the lenses. Replacing those
would be like replacing a top level road bike and maybe then some, but they are heavy. Way too h...

  • Posted in thread: Destinations on 04/05/2012 at 1:27AM
Do you always have a destination or is it more like 'once around the circuit'? I hope to gain miles but
also want interesting rides. So do you always have a destination? It depends on the reason for my...

  • Posted in thread: Average speed and distance? on 03/25/2012 at 1:15AM
I average somewhere between 20 - 30 miles this past week was more like 30 - 40 miles per day, with an

Haha, I'd go with Master Lock Street Cuffs for that lil' doggie (if I wasn't allowed to ride her into the
store). your lock is a mini long shackle, the only known disadvantage to a regular mini is th...

As I mentioned in my first post, a mini u-lock offers greater security than a standard size u-lock.I
don't know if mine counts as a mini or not, the shackle measures about 3.5" wide by about 9.5" long...

  • Posted in thread: Locking up your bike - Just how paranoid are you? on 03/21/2012 at 3:15AM
U-locks were designed to be too small to be lifted off a parking meter, even the earliest models. Park
parallel to the street with your bike on the side of the meter opposite the street and you should...

Depends on the store I think. If its a business where all the employees know its your bike, and someone
else can't claim it's theirs, maybe. Also, there would need to be a place where it can't be bump...

Paul at BikeSpace held the door for me and said to bring my bike in. I looked at him like he was crazy. I
kind of depend on a sturdy stanchion to lean my bike against, like the bike rack in front of t...
