I do my own simple maintenance & repair jobs but I use my trusted mechanic for important jobs.

I used a needle file and oil to file down the sharp edges and burrs. The rim sure looks ugly;
it pains me to look at it. I'll put a tube and tire on it in a couple of days to test it out.

Thanks for the suggestions. There are some spots on the rim edge that are sharp and that's the
