I wear the same (roadie) helmet for both, but sometimes wish I had two simply because sometimes
it's covered in mud and I'm sure I look silly (more than normal) on the road bike like that.

I like lots of float. As others have mentioned, it really doesn't impact your ability to
unclip, just makes you feel a little less 'attached' to the pedals.
