I've used rims with textured braking surface, not carbon rims though. It works but I'm
suspicious of suppliers who can't afford a proof reader.

I've learned you don't need an expensive bike to ride 15,000/year. I don't know if you need one
to ride 1000/year but looks like a lot of people think so. :D
