  I guess its off to the LBS to buy some rim tape. I am salvaging a bike I found last week with a FREE sign
  taped to it. Removing a good deal of rust from the inside of the wheel.

  I prefer a single speed because I am diabetic and I believe a single speed will give me a much better
  workout. Also, my second favorite hobby is hiking, so I don't mind walking a bicycle up a hill.
