I'm done with the debate, but good point Q. More riders with a stable fatality rate = an actual
lowering of fatality rates.

I imagine there isn't a whole lot of coasting either. I live in roller hell so a bunch of my
riding is either climbing or coasting. I imagine it works out differently outside than on

Apples and oranges. Road bikes and hybrids are so different. I also recommend going to a bike
shop and taking a few test rides.

Put a helmet on and go outside and hit your head against the wall on your house (preferably
brick), then do it helmet-less. Report back with your findings.
