First, let me say this is a review of the frame/fork/seatpost, because I built the bike up with my Campy Record components from my previous bike.

My previous bike was a Look 595. Very fast and very racy. However, as I get older (early 30's), I need a frame that is more comfortable. Plus, I will not be doing much, if any, racing.

The Roubaix SL2 is phenomenal. Very comfortable but still fast. The frame really smoothes out the road chatter. The taller headtube allows a much more upright position, releiving strain on the back and shoulders for the less flexible ones of us out there. The longer wheelbase allows confident handling without the bike feeling twitchy.

I was expecting to pay a weight penalty by switching. However, I only gained abot 1/4 of a pound, and the bike is still just over 15 lbs with cages and pedals. With my 303s, it's about 14.25 lbs.

I love this bike! Plus, Boonen winning two Paris-Roubaix's in a row on basically this frame is a rining endorsement. But, I guess we'll never know if it was the bike or the cocaine....[IMG] Price Payed: $2,600.00 Recommended? Yes Pros: Smooth, responsive, comfortable position Cons: none
