The Ruben is named after our shop dog and one of the greatest indie films of all time "Ruben and Ed". A versatile commuter bike with cyclocross inspired geometry and disc brakes that make this bike perfect for foul weather commuting, crazy hills or just about any kind of urban riding you can think of. If you live in areas like us that are prone to bad weather and massive inclines, a disc road bike is worth it's weight in gold. Incredible stopping power that doesn't degrade when it's wet and not going through brake pads and rims every three months.
The Ruben frame starts with 4130 double butted Japanese chromoly which creates the perfect blend of strength, lightness and durability for an unsurpassed ride quality. Our custom laser cut dropouts feature fender mounts machined into the dropout and stamped with the Traitor name. We finish out the design with a classic lugged seat clamp and all top tube cable routing to keep cables free of dirt.
