Chamois cream. Stay hydrated, cliff bars, apricots, cytomax. How long have you been riding previously? Make sure you drink plenty of water during the week as well so you are adequately hydrated. Sunscreen too!
On our 50-60 mile rides we just have a good breakfast-for me that is protein, like ham and cheese, and maybe egg on a tortilla. For others it is oatmeal. I usually drink 2 bottles of cytomax, and 2 of water. Then maybe a cliff bar. When we get home, I need protein! A good hamburger does me fine. Have fun!
Really? Interesting. A lot of the members on our cycling team use the apricots on long rides, but of course they have been riding for several years, and knows what works for them.
So you will be doubling your ride. Serious about the chamois cream, use it. If you are prone to aches and pains, take ibuprofen along. You do have a jersey with back pockets yes?
A jersey with pockets in the back is something you will want to get for sure. You carry all that you need in there. You can reach back and get things while riding.
