Today I experienced the joys of riding in the rain. It had to happen sooner or later. It's cold & grity requiring a full bike clean-up after. All I wanted was an easy 8 mile ride through the park before the storms, not.... An old pine tree was shelter. What's your latest First?
Sunday evenings ride with my neighbors was my first in a hail storm. About 15 minutes before the end of our ride a micro-burst came out of nowhere and just poured on us. Wind, dime sized hail and rain so hard I could barely keep one eye open to see where I was going. Now I remember why I don't like to ride in storms.
