There are always a hundred questions about bike fit, what it is, what needs to be done, and how do you do it. I saw this posted on a friends FB page and thought worth posting as a general fit video that can answer a new persons general questions. Take it for what it is, general bike fit to get you started!

Pay attention to his first statements! BE COMFORTABLE!

    Great video! Thanks for posting.

For me the two most important take aways from it are:
    1. Be comfortable and
    2. Those are good initial settings, but don't be afraid to make additional adjustments to get comfortable.

+1 on the comfortable comment. If you're not comfortable, you're wasting energy.

He doesn't mention having the front tire elevated evenly with the rear tire on the trainer. This may affect your fit, so keep that in mind.

Great video, I found an android app that gives a starting point using a couple of measurements. But as has been already mentioned... if yoir not comfortable its for naught.

I think the most common denominator is always comfort, otherwise it does not get ridden.

The main thing I have always told folks is this, your first fitting could quite literally be your last if done properly. Because the measurements can be taken with you for life when you buy another bike.

Fitting is also the initial main requirement and money well spent. The second is just riding and training those muscles you have never trained to do this sport. Then after the break in, you will be a happy camper.
