You might check at some of the local bike shops to see if there is anything if you don't get a response on the site.

Colorado is a big cycling state. You shouldn't have any trouble finding a bike club to ride with Waka. As Flake said, check with your LBS first for more info about local clubs.

Hopefully, they are not all serious, hard-charging, drop the hammer type of clubs in CO. :)

A little late, but

Denver Bicycling Touring Club has many levels.

Rocky Mountain Cycling Club - Intermediate to Advanced

Team Evergreen - Runs the annual Triple Bypass

There is a group that rides in Meridian every Saturday, I believe.

Check at Creekside Bikes in Parker - they have a weekly ride - pretty intense.

Parker has a cycling club

Highlands Ranch has a cycling Club

many, many others.

Wow! If Waka and DnvrFox are in the Parker/Douglas County area, I would seem to make three of us. Maybe we can make up a mini-club ride of our own! We certainly don't lack for potential routes. Might be fun to just compare notes on the area :) Have either of you played around with the light rail in the context of a cycling trip? It can add a lot of flexibility.
