Hi to all and thanks in advance for your advice. I am moving from Los Angeles to Atlanta. Can anyone recommend a really good shop? I will be living in the Virginia Highlands, Kirkwood, Druid Hills, Decatur area (SE Atlanta). I ride just about everything except mountain bikes. I have road bikes, a road tandem, a fixed gear, and a folder (travel). I am looking for a shop with at least one really good wrench and a friendly, laid back culture. I prefer to support my LBS over internet sellers and I prefer to get to know the person that is wrenching on my ride. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Poolie is a two-spoke member that lives in the atlanta area, and I am sure he will chime in with some advice. He is a good guy and maybe you guys could hook up for some rides as well. Welcome

Welcome RiderUp! I live on the west side of town so don't know a good shop in the Highlands area off the top of my head, but rest assured Atlanta has it's share of good bike shops... and a pretty good riding community. Let me check with some folks that live over in that area and I'll post them tomorrow.

When are you moving?

RiderUp... When you get settled in, check out AtlantaCycling.com. They have two locations in town and one of them is just west of the Decatur, Druid Hills area. I live about 35 miles from there so have no personal experience with them. They've been around for 30 years and really involved in the riding community so it's a good place to start.
