If ever beaten on a Cat6 remember the other rider is fresh and just started their ride. This is how it happens.
If you just started, remember the other rider is already warmed up but still fresh.
Of course these are the only ways one could ever loose a Cat6

I won a Cat6 race against a horse once on our group ride. I told everyone I beat it to the finish line (just barely) because the fence for that horse stable stop short of the intersection (hey not my problem) .

I'm pretty sure I was in a Cat6 race with a deer last week!!!

Both of these fall under the deer/horse was fresh. You won by default.
