I know...it should be in the joke thread but... The wife said " Where are you, you know we have lots to do." He said "You remember the jewelers we went into about 10 years ago, and you fell in love with that diamond necklace? I could not afford it at the time and I said that one day I would get it for you?" Little tears started to flow down her cheek and she got all choked up… "Yes, I do remember that shop." she replied. "Well I am in the Bike shop next door to that."
I have not bought anything at all this year. Oh wait, a box of chocolates, today actually. It's for my SO.
This year, Christmas, like everything else, is going to suck. Since we can’t get together as a family, everyone is getting gift certificates. Makes shopping easy but not personal.
I like gift cards myself to places I shop. I know.....some see it as impersonal but I rather get things I can use rather than clothes and other trinkets I re-gift. I am a simple utilitarian I guess.....lol
There's some history here and probably a rhetorical response on her part and it's ironic you mention the bike shop
Once there was a fairly nice hug received from a bike tech. I recall that fondly. If dating was only as simple as riding a bike....
That’s an impressive offer! I saw one of those multi state lottos got up to something like 500 million. Which is insane.
