No, but my mom did it for a while. I remember her saying that she preferred it over Weight Watchers. We've been looking for a place like Curves in our area. I'm not sure how far the closest one is to us.

So you are like it thus far? What kind of plan do they have on?

I like it alot so far and definitely feel results in the few weeks I have been doing it. One thing I like is that the workouts do not wear me out, I actually feel more energized after them. I am just doing the basic month-to-month exercise program. I know that they have a weight-loss program as well, but I'm not very familiar with it. They have a "circuit workout", which is different than any other gym I had been to. It is where you do 2 laps (15 min each) around a loop with 8 different machines. You spend 30 seconds on each machine, then do 30 seconds running, walking, or jogging in place, then move on to the next machine for 30 seconds. You don't have a chance to get bored, which is another thing I like.

Curves is a franchise deal that must not cost a lot to start up. I just did a search and there are 18 of them within 11 miles from my zip in the Baltimore area. I knew there was a lot. So if you don't have one near you, you will soon. Or you could open one? I just looked that up too. $23,000 to $30,000 for a new franchise and equipment. No wonder they have popped up around here.

Yeah there are two within two miles of me, and the town I live in isn't all that large. My hometown even has one....a little farming community with only 7,000 residents. I dunno, they must do well.

One of my clients came over from Curves, in three months weve dropped her 4 dress sizes and 35lbs. I would highly recommend "The New Rules of Lifting for Women." Great book!

Well then you have been successful removing the unwanted curves.

Franchise fitness centers have come and gone over the years. My oldest sister has jump on board with all of them. Sadly out of the five of us she has been the only one to struggle with her fitness and health.

The gal that came over said she dropped weight a lot faster standing with kettlebells/dumbbells than she did in a year at Curves. I think she only lost about 5-10 lbs in that time frame.
