Cyclist faces manslaughter charges

Rules is rules until your the one caught breaking them right? How many times do you hear we need to be tread with respect and sure this was an accident....but running the red light...not so much I'm gonna guess. Hard to from this somewhat vague report.

OK. It's hard to comment much on the situation without many facts. But who's applying those same "rules of the road" to drivers that hit and kill cyclists?

I'm not a lawyer, but I play one on TV so that qualifies me right? Anyway, the felony charge was put on because the cyclist, like many cyclists, ran the red light willingly, not unintentionally. This is one of those things that cyclists just don't get, they need to follow the rules of the road, and most refuse to do that thinking they own the road; and when cyclists willingly break laws and breaking that law kills someone then they face felony charges. Same is true if a car driver willingly gets behind the wheel drunk and kills someone.
