I think it’ll be better this winter in the garage with the lights off on a 32 inch monitor.
An easy 30 miles this morning dodging the drizzling. Finished the Virtual C2C ride this morning. I wonder if I can count it as an actual ride; which will give me 7 cross state rides total.
Yep - count it.
I've added kilojoules to my ride screen on my Bolt( I keep a 5 sec avg of power at the top as my main display). So for a comparison last Sunday I rode 51 miles with 1486 kilojoules produced or maybe more correctly put expelled or used. Last night I rode 34 miles at a good tempo for me and had 1080 kj
The other I like to track is the move ratio, I was down a little yesterday from what I wanted/expected. I had somebody ask me once "Why did you stop pedaling?" GREAT question! Since 99% of my rides this year have been solo it's much easier to track as when you're on a group rides it's to easy to sit and recover.
If this year has done nothing for me it's made me a stronger but not necessarily a faster rider and that includes mentally. I rode in some winds and weather I would have generally passed on in the past.
Maybe I should have posted this in some training section of the forum
Thanks to Sally, today makes two rained out days in a row with morning rains. Sun has come out twice but only stays out for about 10-15 min before it starts raining again. Forecast calls for rain throughout the entire day, again.
Sadly no! Had to get a Hep B booster due to low or no titers and the main reason......a dang hurricane blew rains up our way...lol
Didn't know how today's ride was going to turn out. Went to the oncologist on Wednesday and the blood test should lower red cell and hemoglobin numbers than my normally low numbers; thus today's ride name of "Ride to Anemia." Surprised that I did a full 40 miles without feeling any different than any previous ride since I've been back on the bike. It turned out to be a 27 mile solo ride before I came upon Frankie and he did the last 13 miles with me.
Hope all is well my friend. I know labs can be a little misleading sometimes.
Virtual Mont Ventoux this morning.
Rode a quick 16.4 mile ride today with a mere 1550 feet in climbing for a cool morning ride at 55 degrees. Big change from the other day at 80 degrees. Sorry no pictures to post. On a pre-sprint my left foot came from the pedal and the pedal came back around and popped by left heel and felt like it cracked it! But I did not pull from the race...LOL
Fall finally showed up today. Temps in the 50s when we rolled out. Wow what a difference dry and cooler air does for your ride. Did 89 mile shot 35 were solo and I’m not blown up like I was last weekend in the heat and humidity.
^ Just like a drag cars...errr any car Make more horsepower in the cooler air I guess in part because of air density
No cool weather here in Florida. Rained on and off throughout the day, yesterday, so it was a no ride day. This morning was looking good, although very muggy, so I was excited to hit the road. Checked my WindAlert app and it took the wind out of my sail. 29-33 mph gusts. Just not ready for that after a two month hiatus.
A snippet of the Tour of Flanders today.
^ I'm taking it you're really dig'n the app and those rides?!
