Hey everybody! :D

I wanted to pass along some information about Trek Dirt Series Camps to help your progression as a rider, no matter what level you're at! A weekend format that balances structure with flexibility. Between the extensive skill sessions, the instructional rides, and the bike fit and maintenance seminars, riders of every level have the chance to learn, improve, and perfect their technique.

The Dirt Series began in 2000 in BC in an effort both to bring more women into the sport and to fuel the passion of those already committed to it. In the eleven years following, it has expanded from its Whistler base throughout B.C. and Alberta and into Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Utah and Colorado. It has added in some co-ed programs to its original women's only camps, combined with some incredible industry partners, and developed to a point where it presents between 15 and 20 camps annually- and with 2 new sites added thanks to Trek- Winter Park, CO, and Portland, OR. Many have pro riders as instructors (in the past, Geoff Gulevich, Andres Hestler and Wade Simmons have taught-- Wade even set up my bike with me).

Sign-ups just started Feb. 1st for the 2011 season. I went to several camps and ended their season at the co-ed Whistler Camp and I'm stoked with how my riding skills have jumped! You get a great deal of personal attention and you leave feeling like it's money well-spent. I'll list the classes below and other links to contact them. Send them questions- and me- if you have any!!

I'm sorry you feel that way. I was really excited about the class and what it did for me, especially after having taken the Whistler class. I actually met a lot of riders from San Diego as well, even in BC.

I'm not a novice and having helped coach women and beginners with being part of SAn Diego Mtn Biking Association (phpinfo()), it's always a question people ask about other classes they can take to get better.

Take my testimonial for what it is-an editorial and reference to a great resource for riders. I know them personally now, having taken classes with them over the past several years and I always learn something new.

If there was a "training" forum I'd have put this thread there.

I apologize for the "ad" feel but wanted to put out as much info as possible.
