On my bike I loaned to someone, the brake cable has been cut where it goes from the frame to the gyro. Is there any tip for fixing this without taking everything apart? Could I clamp the broken wires together with something then tighten up the rest of the system?

its worth a try. if it doesn't work, then you know what not to do next time. sometimes its best to learn from your mistakes.

    good luck

since brakes are important for riding safety i would be very careful with homebrew fixes.

    good point engyo
my fixes are for the financially challenged.
I wouldnt tie knots in brake cables
but I have tied knots in gear cables and the strands of wire dont share the load evenly and are bound to break constant changes in tension
    eventually.
