I have never owned one but broke one in 1985. The first Haro to hit my hometown, rich kids dad ran the LBS and he showed up on a Haro all set up for BMX racing. I took it off of a pretty big jump we had built in the street and when I landed broke the rear triangle. I had jumped my Raleigh off the same jump probably 20 times. My mom loaded his bike in the truck and took him to his dad's store. He cried all the way. His dad couldn't believe it had broken, and gave him another one that was on display. For some reason he never let me ride it, never could figure out why. I have never seen a bike break that way since and hope to never be on one if it does. I am to old to recover from it like I did then.
